I believe you can remember the future as much as the past.

Everything is true on this album. There's no projection, no third person. It's pure autobiography, I just did it in music instead of a book.

I classify myself as a student and a teacher. This year, I'm back into the student. I try to stay balanced. I learn so much every time I walk about my door.

Growing up in the Northwest, I did play in an all-girl band. I snuck into clubs. No one ever questioned or thought twice about it.

Everything I'm doing now is something I did before, only it's bigger now.

I don't think science is totally true, because I've seen miracles happen through prayer.

I don't mean that to be egotistical, but I'm not writing fluff. I'm not writing for 8-year-olds. I'm a woman and I'm a rock girl.

Everything I read about me is what I say. The way I've come across is exactly who I am. So far, they haven't skewed it to be one way or another too much.

A long term goal is to encourage students to start doing concerts in which I or the other artists will come back at the end of the school year to see their concerts.
